With the impending departure of our beloved Minister of Competition to lawyer school, we at the Franklin House seek a worthy roommate to take his place.  The room will be open July 1 and the rent will be around $780 including water and trash.  (Which believe it or not is cheap for Santa Monica, and it's rent controlled so it won't go up)  We also have an open study/storage/guest room which is nice to keep empty but could be rented as well, which would drop the price of rent further.

Currently MOM, Art and Design and MOM's lady (JL) live at the Franklin Estate and we have a fun little group that enjoys IFS visitors and entertaining guests.  We are looking for someone associated with IFS or a friend who would fit in with our study/sex tour/rock and roll lifestyle.

If anyone is contemplating moving out of their parent's house, a move to the Los Angeles area or coming back from Germany, now might be the time.  We are trying to avoid bringing in a random person off the interweb if possible.  Any suggestions or referrals would be appreciated.

Faithfully yours,

MOM

So the deed is done.  2 hotel rooms have been booked in America's finest city for the evenings of May 16th and 17th.  The hotel is on the beach, 4 blocks north of the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach.  We will all be getting together to celebrate the graduation of Philanthropy and have an informal flapjack breakfast on the morning of the 17th.  The price of the hotel rooms is contingent on how many monks sign on for the weekend adventure.

As of today, a number of ministers (and rabbi) have pledged their support.  Philanthropy, M+T, AP, Leisure, Competition, A&D, MOM, Defense, Photo and Finance are in (That's right Finance is back).  I'll be calling the remaining few hold-outs to get a better head count to determine whether we need to get another room.  In any event, we should have a good crowd and I think planning the informal meeting on Saturday morning will allow any other friends to join in an IFS event.  The more the merrier.  However I think we should still have a MOM vote and discuss a little business.  If anyone wants to propose our next meeting or 'anything IFS' in person, this would be your forum.

Friday night will be open to entertainment options as people will trickle in throughout the evening.  Saturday will start with hangover recovery in the form of flapjack breakfast therapy.  The rest of the day will be open to the myriad of San Diego recreation options.  Saturday evening we will be planning a trip to the bowling alley and then to a bar to see Philanthropy serve all the bustas at a local drinking/dancing establishment. (see above photo)  Sunday will be also be left open for improvisation.

If anyone has any other ideas, please comment.  Philanthropy, could you scout a good location for our Saturday morning breakfast and make a reservation? (10-15 people)

Also we'll be working on getting the satellite linkup with our German contingent for a conference breakfast.  This is the IFS Spring/Summer meeting, come one, come all.

Beloved Ministers and Rabbi,

Alright, we know...this has been a long time coming.  So - where to
start?  Well, we are all doing very strong.  And our missing all of
IFS is also very strong.  We miss all of you big gays, seriously.  But
enough about you.

I don't want this to turn into one of those novellas that the Rabbi
would send every three days when he was drinking through some shit
hole developing country...so here's a quick list of what's been going
on out here:

- I am now an English teacher.  I teach the English to the Deutsche.
(Picture 'Good Morning Vietnam' - except the opposite and much more emotional).

- Nova is also now a teacher.  He teaches the English to the Deutsche.
His hair is longer than there hair, and his jeans are skinnier than
their jeans.  They like him.

- JConn sells the wine.  He brings home the wine too.  Then, we drink
the wine.  Am happy.

- When we are all together, we laugh about how things are different
out here.  The weather is different, the language is different, the
hoodia is different, and social customs are different; for example,
grown men in business suits like to drink Capri Suns on the way to
work.  They like juice.

- We like to make party on weekends.

- We like to travel around.  Prague boasts the cheapest Hoodia.

- JConn goes to a fast food Chinese restaurant called "Asian Box."  He loves to eat Asian Box.

- We like strong Timo.  We make party with him.  He asks about Fleming, Fricker and Persons.  He does not ask about Bowman.  We call him Timolicious.  He laughs.

- We don't like 'Sweeney Todd' and we don't like 'Juno'.

Ok, now, here are the pictures:

Anyways, that's enough pics for now.  But don't worry...there will be more.  We really miss you monks out here, for real.  We hope everything is going well and that you all continue to be very strong.  We would also like to be part of the Wolf Pack, which is very strong.  Of course, please email us if any of you (except Twain, JK!, haha, love you Jane) would like to plan a trip out here.  That would be very strong.

Stay strong.  Good flapjack,

Sorry Towers - I didn't want to go over your head, but you left me no choice. Here's the excellent WCJ from the new GTA IV spot.

rudyflip.jpg IHOP is holding a contest on their website, it started at the end of March, and goes to May 31st. Enter Here. You have 250 words, and an optional picture to convince the judges that your story is:entertaining (33%), original (33%) and has an emotional impact (34%), or so says the rules. I did not yet submit an I.F.S. story as I am about to leave work, but what I found more interesting while reading the rules of the contest is that IHOP's 50th birthday is coming up on July 7, 2008, and they are holding some sort of celebration for it in New York, which the winner is flown out to be a part of, ontop of a lifetime of free pancakes.

THIS is a WMD

Ministers and Rabbi,

Amongst the internet chatter, a rumor of an informal meeting in San Diego has emerged.  I'm formally proposing an informal meeting on the weekend of May 17th where our beloved Minister of Philanthropy will be graduating from CSU San Marcos with a degree in Political Science.  Politics Jam.

Graduation1.jpg

The idea was to get a few hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night (16th and 17th) and enjoy a sunny weekend  in  'America's Finest City'.  Philanthropy has looked into a bus to bring us to a bowling alley Saturday night after the graduation, and then to the watering hole of our choosing afterward.  There are a number of fun things to do in San Diego including the Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, an array of beautiful beaches and bars.

hazel_bowling_3675.jpg

Part of the plan was to keep it informal because a number of Philanthropy's family and friends will be in town and might want to enjoy a pancake breakfast with the men of IFS, as well as any other kind folk who may want to join in a healthy meal of flapjack and adolphus.  However this will still provide a good opportunity to discuss future plans and our end of summer meeting.

If anyone is interested in such a plan please let me know.  I'll be reserving Hotel accommodations for myself and a few Franklin residents soon, but the more the merrier.

Best Regards,
MOM
just thought Id try to give everyone a better idea as to what the Pack is all about.  If you run  with us, one of these popular Tees will be yours, you will get drunk, and you will most likely be seen on TV, high-fiving the Wolf, and generally acting like a bafoon.  we made two large posters(20"x30") of the wolfpack design, and more can be made.  I must say, we were only four ministers deep, but we made our presence felt, I can only dream of what would it would be like to have more...
